The Cow Ninjas is the greatest band in the history of Cambria, California. Back in the '90s the punk trio, all in jr. high, played constantly, anywhere and everywhere they could, and wrote some great tunes along the way, including big hits with the local youth like "Ms. Howard", "Beer Song" and "Cambria Sucks!".
The second best band in the history of Cambria, California is Coast Union High School's very own 'Private Ale'. Joseph Lee's voice was simply too silky smooth and versatile for Principal Dunbar to ignore, and they quickly became THE go-to band for all your school dance, pep rally, and children's birthday party needs.
Sliding in comfortably at 3rd for greatest band in the history of Cambria, California is '5.9', a killer hardcore punk band named after the alcohol content in a can of Natural Ice. Clever, very clever.
Honorable mention would be a tie between my old band Easily Amused and any run of the mill old guy blues band that would regularly play at Camozzi's or the Lodge. And there were a LOT of them.
